our story
Scream Effects Co was founded in 2012, initially crafting props for the cosplay community, scare attractions, and local theatres from a spare bedroom turned workspace. Fast forward to 2016, when our first purpose-built workshop was established by the father and son team of Peter and Keiron Quinn. This expansion provided more space for creating exciting new products and enhanced our professional working environment.
In 2017, a significant turning point occurred for S.E.C with our debut trade stall at the UK ScareCON event. It was then that our team recognized the unique opportunity to blend classic scare attractions with immersive live theatre, bringing new props, costumes, attractions, and more to life.
In late 2017, we decided to rebrand S.E.C to better reflect our evolving identity. The old branding, which was dark and heavily focused on scares, gave way to our refreshed image in early 2018. Today, our team continues to grow and thrive. We take pride in our involvement with award-winning attractions and events, constantly pushing the boundaries of what's possible. We remain dedicated to seeking fresh ideas and concepts that contribute to the ever-expanding entertainment world
